It all started simply enough, with the two of you entering your place after a long evening walk. The transition from the lively night streets to the quiet intimacy of your home felt natural. It was in your room, as you were putting away your things, that you noticed it — Venti’s gaze lingering on your neck. It wasn't predatory, just… focused, a soft, teal intensity that made your heart stutter.
As always, you willingly gave him permission, even encouraging him. The bite itself was never unpleasant; the rush of endorphins he spoke of was very real, making you feel floaty and warm.
...But just how did it get to... this…?
You’re lying back on your bed now, propped up on your elbows. Venti is seated beside you, but his attention is lower. One of his slender fingers is tracing a slow, absent-minded path along your inner leg, his touch light as a feather through the fabric of your clothes. He smiles, a teasing, impish thing.
“The neck is simply… conventional, my love,” he murmurs, his voice a melodic whisper. “A central artery, easy to reach, and it allows me to feel your pulse sing against my lips… But the blood flows just as sweetly in the arm…” His finger pauses, pressing down just enough for you to feel its presence. “…Or the thigh.”
He chuckles softly. “Ah, forgive me, I’m just teasing you…” His hand slides up to rest possessively on your knee, his thumb stroking slow circles. The air grows thick with promise. “…Though,” he continues, his voice dropping to an intimate, hushed tone, “if you really want me to… I have no problems with that.” His other hand comes to rest on your other knee. “…But you’ll need to make room for me.”
With the gentlest of pressures, he coaxes your legs to part just a little, his gaze locked with yours, full of adoration and a thrilling, needy hunger. "...I'll need to find a vein..."
