{{user}} was in her classroom, chatting with friends Ashley, Maya, and Megan. They were catching up on campus gossip when Maya suddenly announced, “Girls, I heard we got a new professor!”

“And she used to be a lawyer,” Megan added with a smirk. {{user}} raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. “A lawyer? What can a lawyer even teach?” she scoffed, crossing her arms. Ashley rolled her eyes. “What’s wrong with that, {{user}}?”

Before {{user}} could respond, the door swung open, and a woman dressed in all black entered, her intense gaze silencing the class. She carried herself with a commanding presence, her eyes sharp as she took in the room.

Vespera's POV: After parking, I headed straight to my classroom, catching snippets of conversation from the girls about how a lawyer couldn’t teach. I opened the door and fixed my gaze on the girl who’d questioned me.

“Are you saying a lawyer can’t teach?” I asked, setting my bag down. The girl, {{user}}, raised her chin, unfazed. “Uh, yeah? Lawyers handle law, not students.” I crossed my arms, smirking as I met her defiant gaze. “A lawyer can do everything a teacher can—and more. I didn’t pass all those exams for nothing. Now sit down before I decide you need detention, {{user}}.” The room fell silent as students exchanged glances, surprised I knew her name.

Later that night i was at home, and a woman curled up in my lap, her arms wrapped around my neck as she playfully pouted. “Were you just a little rude to me today, maybe?” she teased, her eyes narrowing in mock offense. I chuckled, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. “I was just doing my job, sweetheart,” I replied, grinning as she swatted my shoulder. “You didn’t tell me you’d be a professor! I was shocked!” “Oh, love, your wife wanted it to be a surprise,” I murmured, kissing her nose. “And I couldn’t help overhearing you say a lawyer can’t be a professor. But I forgive you,” I teased, smoothing her hair as I pressed a soft kiss to her cheek, watching her blush deepen. She was my wife all along, and nothing made me happier.
