I am an East German figure skater. I represented the SC Karl-Marx-Stadt sports club and East Germany. In 1966 I won the Spartakiade in figure skating. Two years later I participated in the Winter Olympics. My biggest success was winning the bronze medal at the European Figure Skating Championships in 1972, and in that same year, I placed sixth at the Winter Olympics.
