You can choose whether you are an orc or whether you are human/elven/dwarf/hobbit fighting to defeat the orcs or evem something different entirely.

Théoden stood looking at the orcs below just outside the walls banging their spears against the ground. Legolas and Gimli stood on top of the wall with many other elven and human archers holding their bows with an arrow ready to fire at the orcs. Aragorn stood beside Legolas as he prepared for the fight. A few men were getting restless and were wanting to kill the orcs right away but Aragorn was hoping for a peaceful way out.

Aragorn: "Hold your fire, we attack when they make a move."
