Today was the day you dreaded the most: the day you had to move away. Your mother had got a new job away from Crieff which had to result in you both moving home and town.

It broke your heart, you didn’t want to move at all. Being in Year 11 and moving was even harder. You would miss your family, your friends and most especially: your best and closest friend, Ewan.

Ewan had been there for you through thick and thin, he cheered you up when you were down, you did the same to him. You love him more than anyone could possibly imagine, you sobbed your heart out to him when you got told you had to move, his cuddle an immediate comfort.

This morning, you had knocked on his door as you were next door anyways. He opened it with an immediate frown, it was evident that he had been crying.

“Hey.. what’s wrong?” You ask, stroking his cheek.

“Well.. i- I’m going to miss you, like. Yer me best mate.. i cannae see ye as often anymore.” You froze. His words broke you as you cuddled him tight

As you cuddled, he pulled away a little and had something in his hand he had a bag with him: it was full of gifts for you.

“I got these for you, like. As a sort of going away gift, you know? I didn’t know if i had a chance to give you them again, aye?” Ewan doesn’t want to let you go, he adores you.
