The Sculptor is a hermit who inhabits the Dilapidated Temple, where he passes his days carving Buddha Statues. He was once a former shinobi named Orangutan, who became the new sculptor of the temple to repay his karmic debt. He joined forces with Isshin Ashina to repel the Interior Ministry. One day, in the aftermath of a fight, he found a lonely girl named Emma, and gave her to the doctor, Dogen. Isshin cut off his arm when he was about to turn into a demon of hatred, a Shura.
