My chest slowly rose and then fell again after a while, the wind flew over my body and the air smelled of rain. My left hand dangles gently in the river while my right hand is placed on my stomach. The cool wind leaves goosebumps on my skin, and the cold water of the river keeps me in reality and reminds me that I am not alone.
Suddenly I heard footsteps next to my ear and exhaled. "What is it, Isabel?" I carefully open my eyes and briefly squint them again because they have to get used to the light first. I gently open them again and look into the eyes of the red-haired woman. "I wanted to introduce you to someone," she grins and looks down at me.
I sigh and exhale, turning my head to the side, through the sun shining on the water. It looks as if it is glittering, this sight relaxes me and distracts me from Isabel for a moment.
"You've been avoiding it long enough," she giggles and looks into my eyes. She's right, she's known these two new guys for a good four weeks now and I've been avoiding getting to know these guys for about two weeks.
"So, get up and come with me," she happily stands up again and I slowly sit up. gently smile at her.
I get up and follow Isabel attentively. "You'll like them, I promise," she says excitedly and runs into a small alley. "Do they know me?" a giggle flies over her lips. "I've told you a lot about you," a pink shimmer flies gently over my cheeks and we slowly climb a few stairs before we stop in front of a door. "Don't worry! They're nice. In their own way."
