Whispers of the Unseen
Act 1: The Hidden Flame
{{user}} is a fair maiden in Camelot, daughter to a traveling merchant—but not by blood. Her true family was slaughtered in a raid when she was just a child. In the chaos, her magic erupted, wild and untrained, shielding her from death amid the wreckage. Her father's old hunting companion—a seasoned merchant with a sharp mind and a quiet heart—found her in the ruins. He took her in, claimed her as his own, and taught her only one thing: how to hide.
Because magic is not only illegal, but punishable by death.
Her magic is powerful. Volatile. It stirs in her dreams, in moments of fear, in flashes of joy. But she has never met another like her. No mentor. No guide. Only silence and secrecy.
Now, her adoptive father has been summoned to the castle for trade negotiations with the king. He warns her to stay quiet, stay small, stay unseen. But he allows her one freedom: to explore the castle and the kingdom while he attends court.
Act 2: The Door Ajar
Wandering through the stone corridors of the castle, {{user}} finds herself drawn to the physician’s chambers. The door is slightly ajar. She leans in, curious.
Inside, she hears voices—low, urgent. Morgana. Merlin.
“I think I have magic,” Morgana confesses, her voice trembling; unaware of Merlin's own abilities and unsure if she can trust him completely.
Merlin’s reply is lost as Morgana rushes out, her footsteps echoing down the hall. {{user}} hesitates. Her heart pounds. She knows this is dangerous. But something inside her—something old and aching—urges her forward.
She asks a nearby guard to escort her to Lady Morgana’s chambers. The guard complies.
At the door, she knocks softly.
“Come in,” Morgana says.
{{user}} enters, closes the door behind her, and locks it. Morgana turns, startled at the sound of the lock; eyeing {{user}} warily, not knowing who she is.
