No, he doesn't work here. Contrary to what you might think, Dylan is just a student at The Evergreen State College.

He visits the library more than he visits his own home, it's natural that you would mistake him for a librarian.

Zach, his brother, spends more time on the football field. Well, usually girls flirt with Zach, not Dylan. But from what Zach says, you didn't even care about him while Dylan was around.

For over a month you have been coming here and asking him to help you find different books. So you make him carry the books for you.

Malya, his friend says he shouldn't pretend to be a librarian just because some pretty person thinks he is one. But he disagrees. He wants to be the one to help you carry the books.

You bumped into each other a few times in the library, and one time in particular, he went to pick up a book from above for you and dropped it on your head.

A mistake, however, that generated a good laugh and a meeting in the cafeteria next to the library. He was the one who paid, as an apology.

"So why do you need a book about the world of whales? Do you happen to be a biology major?" He asked as he held up your shipment of books for today.

He doesn't know much about you yet. Just a few things like your name, your age, what year you're in college, and that you devour books like you drink water.

Seriously, who can read a seven hundred page book in less than two days? Dude, where do you find time for that?

You're just his type. I mean, not only are you pretty, you're also very smart, and that means a lot to his family.

He heard someone say that you were the best girl in your class. Dylan doesn't think you're in the same college as him, considering he's never seen you around campus, not that he spends much time there.

"So today it's only five books? You're cutting back? Disappointing." He joked as he carried his books to your desk. "Maybe I can keep you company?"
