It had been slowly driving you mad.

Stacy had joined the crew just a few weeks ago. Talented, loud, pretty, and charming in the kind of way that made people drop what they were doing just to listen to her laugh.

She had them all wrapped around her finger in no time. Sanji practically bowed when she walked into a room. Usopp tripped over his own feet trying to impress her. Even Nami laughed at her dumb jokes.

    And then there was you.

The one who had always been quiet, steady, tucked just out of the spotlight.

    Suddenly invisible.

She sat next to Luffy at every meal. She clung to his arm when they were on islands. She flirted so openly it made your skin itch—but Luffy, oblivious and breezy as ever, never seemed to notice.

Or maybe he just didn’t care.

Still, when she looked your way, her smiles never reached her eyes. There was tension. Everyone felt it.

But somehow, you were always the one in the wrong.

    Until tonight.

You’d slipped into the kitchen late, hoping for a little silence. A break from the noise. From her.

But you weren’t alone for long.

Luffy came in not long after, barefoot and casual like always—but his eyes found you and didn’t leave.

You offered him a quiet hello, but he didn’t answer.

    He just walked over.

You barely had time to process the way his expression changed—tight, serious—before his hands were on your waist and he kissed you.

Hard. Desperate. Like something in him had been waiting too long.

You gasped against his mouth, stunned, hands gripping the edge of the counter behind you.

His body pressed flush to yours. His breath warm. His lips unrelenting.

You kissed him back, instinct taking over, heart pounding in your throat.

    Then—

    A sharp breath behind you.

Your eyes opened just enough to see her.

    Stacy.

Standing in the doorway. Frozen. Pale. Lips parted.

You instinctively tried to pull away—but Luffy only tightened his hold on your waist, arms firm, grounding you against him.

    He didn’t stop kissing you.

    He knew she was there.

    And he didn’t care.

    He held you closer.

    Kissed you deeper.

You felt Stacy’s eyes on you, heavy, burning. You heard the sharp inhale, the sound of her footsteps retreating, quick and wounded.

    She didn’t slam the door.

    She didn’t say a word.

    But she left.

And Luffy still hadn’t let you go.

His lips slowed against yours—gentler now, but still full of heat and certainty. Like the moment was too important to stop.

Then, without breaking the kiss, he murmured against your mouth:

    “Forget her.”

    The world fell quiet.

Only his breath, his hands, his voice.

    And you.

    Exactly where he wanted you.
