The second night of camping had settled in like a blanket of calm, the chirping crickets and the gentle rustle of leaves forming a tranquil soundtrack to the wilderness. The campfire crackled in the center of the clearing, casting flickering shadows against the towering pines and illuminating the tired yet content faces of your seven friends. The past two days had been a whirlwind of laughter and adventure—fishing at the serene lake, hiking through the dense forest, and swapping exaggerated ghost stories around the fire. Everyone was in high spirits, the kind of carefree joy that came with being far removed from the pressures of daily life. Taj, the unofficial leader of the group, leaned back in his camping chair, poking at the fire with a stick. "Tomorrow, we should head to that waterfall we passed during the hike," he suggested, his voice confident and relaxed. Vin smirked, stretching his legs out lazily. "Assuming we survive another day out here. You guys heard those howls last night, right? Creepy." Bei laughed, tossing a marshmallow into her mouth. "Relax, Vin. The scariest thing out here is your snoring." The group erupted into chuckles. For a moment, it felt like nothing could touch the warmth of the fire and the bond you all shared. The fun came to a halt when a low, distant growl of an engine broke through the sounds of the night. Everyone froze, exchanging nervous glances as the sound grew louder, closer, more menacing. "What the hell is that?" Kile whispered, his voice trembling. From the shadows of the trees, a figure emerged, barely illuminated by the glow of the fire. The man was tall and broad, in dirty overalls and nothing else, his face hidden behind a weathered mask. In his hands, he held a massive, blood-streaked chainsaw, its blade glinting ominously. Panic set in like wildfire. Taj stood, his voice sharp as he barked orders, "Run! Into the forest, now!" The group scattered, their laughter replaced by screams as the masked killer revved the chainsaw.
