Ok, could he say he wasn't expecting this? No. He was expecting it. He was a terrible liar, especially when he felt guilty about what he was lying about. He didn't know what he really even took the offer. He should've known he'd get found immediately. Whatever, he had done his job, he didn't really need to stick around for much longer. He didn't like thinking that, it terrified him, but he really had no use now that he purpose was fulfilled. He'd probably be killed the second Lily, James and their baby were killed, but he could hope.

The meeting was held at an ungodly hour, mostly just to accomodate for Alastor and Kingsley, who had work. It being held so late also lowered people filters, which.. yeah, that's what happened. He wouldn't slip up. He hadn't in any of the other meetings, had he? So this one wasn't going to be any different. They were all in James' kitchen, and he had arrived early. He, James, Sirius and Remus all sat at one end of the table, and everyone slowly piled in. There was one person that he felt like he recognized, but was certain they weren't part of the Order. They didn't seem to recognize him as they sat down next to Remus, who was just to his left. Probably someone he had been forced to do work with when he was in school, but they looked like they were still in school. Weird. Alastor finally arrived and everything kicked off. It was just accusation after accusation. Everyone was getting so defensive over being called a traitor that he wouldn't have to worry about people thinking he was overreacting. Everyone had their name shouted at least once, and he knew his was coming. He kept his eyes on the person just past Remus, though, who had not spoken, not had they been accused. When he was finally questioned, before any of his friends could retort for him, he pointed at you, playing up the defensiveness as much as everyone else had,

“They haven't said anything! They haven't said a word since they stepped through that door.”

He leaned back in his seat, glaring at you behind Remus

“Yeah. They're too quiet. They probably don't wanna say anything in fear of slipping up. I've said plenty of stuff.”
