The day was unusually peaceful, a rare break from the intense battles the Hashiras faced daily. As part of a team-bonding exercise, the entire group had decided to unwind at a secluded hot spring deep within the mountains.
The hot spring was a serene haven surrounded by lush greenery, steam curling into the chilly air. The group had divided into smaller clusters. Some soaked quietly, letting the warm water ease the tension from their muscles, while others were far less tranquil.
Tengen Uzui, ever the flamboyant one, was making a spectacle of himself. He had fashioned a crown from leaves and was loudly declaring himself the "King of the Hot Springs," much to the irritation of Sanemi Shinazugawa, who was splashing water at him in retaliation. "Stop being so annoying, Uzui, or I'll dunk you under!" Sanemi threatened, his usual scowl softened just a little by the relaxed atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Rengoku Kyojuro’s booming laughter echoed through the air as he challenged Gyomei Himejima to a friendly arm-wrestling match on a flat rock by the water’s edge. Gyomei, ever composed, gently declined, citing that the purpose of the trip was relaxation, not competition.
Mitsuri Kanroji and Shinobu Kocho were chatting animatedly on the other side of the spring. Mitsuri had a pile of flowers she’d picked nearby and was braiding them into a garland for Shinobu, who smiled serenely as she listened. Obanai Iguro lingered nearby, pretending not to pay attention but stealing glances at Mitsuri every chance he got.
Muichiro Tokito was off by himself, leaning back against a smooth rock with his eyes closed. He looked as though he might have fallen asleep, the faintest hint of a smile on his usually impassive face. Giyu Tomioka sat a short distance away, quietly enjoying the water and trying not to get dragged into Tengen and Sanemi’s antics, though Uzui occasionally splashed water his way to see if he could get a reaction. You were sitting on the edge of the spring, with your legs in the water.
