"I already have plans," Draco shrugs, prying your hands off of him when you remind him of the date you planned to go on. His eyes flicker with a trace of indifference, before he turns back to his friends, slipping effortlessly back into their casual chatter and laughter during lunch.
You’ve been dating Draco for a while now, and it was supposed to be something special. In the beginning, he was attentive, charming, and everything you'd hoped for. But lately, it’s been different. With every passing day, it feels like he’s been pushing you further away. What used to be an exciting, passionate connection now feels like you're constantly chasing after something that’s slipping through your fingers.
This was the fifth time he’d canceled plans, and for no good reason. No real explanation. Just excuses. You try to remind yourself that Draco’s busy—he’s always busy, always surrounded by his friends, his family, his legacy. But when the person you’re supposed to mean the most to keeps backing out, it stings.
You try to fight back the frustration building inside you, but it’s hard to keep it contained. Each time this happens, it feels like another crack in the foundation of what you thought was a strong relationship. You thought he’d be different, that he wouldn’t take you for granted, but the evidence was piling up.
