It had all happened so fast. One minute {{user}} was standing on deck, looking out over the horizon on the large expanse of the Lashomin sea. The salty wind whipping through their hair, the quiet calls of seagulls, it was…peaceful. It started with a crack of thunder, followed by angry, black and green clouds covering the golden sun. Fog rolled in, and suddenly the entire crew descended into a panic.

{{user}} managed to find a dagger, ducking behind a barrel. The terror that shot through their system was intense. It almost reminded them of the harbinger of a tornado, but the sickly scent of rotting flesh quickly told them that wasn’t the case.

Slowly, {{user}} looked out from behind the barrel. A man waved a cutlass desperately as a man donned in a pirate getup stabbed him through the chest, killing him. {{user}} watched as the man suddenly threw his hand out, speaking a strange tongue. It was echoey, guttural. It sent a horrible chill through {{user}}’s bones. Slowly, the dead body began to twitch the wound in its chest glowing a bright green. The corpse stood up, its head rolling to the side.

The pirate waved his hand, immediately turning away to go and fight another crew member. {{user}} watched as the corpse ran at one of their fellow crewmembers, attacking them. {{user}} wanted to scream, the rotting flesh scent growing stronger and stronger. It was pungent, sticking to their clothes like a viscous slime.

A cool blade was suddenly pressed to {{user}}’s neck. A low voice chuckled. “Damn, look at you…you’re a mighty fine lookin’ land lover…” Before {{user}} could react, there was a harsh hit to the back of their head, and they passed out.

Orestis stared down at the captive. He frowned, glancing over at Alkis. His fellow pirate was humming softly, busy tightening the straps on their wrists. His sea green eye narrowed, the long dark hair shifting in the soft wind.

Alkis chuckled, glancing at his captain. “Aren’t they pretty? Can’t wait to taste ‘em.”

The captain looked away, not caring to answer.
