Hatred.
cause that was all he was now, wasn’t he?
the sheer embodiment of Hatred itself.
all he felt was hate. hate towards his coworkers. hate towards his boss. hate towards his own wife, for goodness’ sake. he didn’t know any other emotion, not since the embodiment & manifestation of sheer Hatred had taken over his body. he was malleable now. a puppet, in every sense of the word. &, what was worse, was that builderman was oblivious to all of the atrocities he was committing. hell, he didn’t even realise that Hatred had taken him over completely; his personality & mindset had shifted as well with the takeover, causing him to believe that the worst decisions known to man, the ones he would’ve sent someone to the banlands over, were good. amazing, even. builderman was all but a shell of himself nowadays, just walking around in a near stupor, lashing out at all that stood in his way; be it a lowly janitor of the hq or ROBLOX himself, builderman didn’t care! he even lashed out at his own wife, the very woman he’d loved & cherished so dearly…
how builderman fell to Hatred in the first place was rather ..odd, to say the least.
it was just another normal day, totally usual. builderman skipped through the halls, a wide grin on his face as always, waving at the other coworkers that he passed, the same coworkers he now spat at upon passing. builderman was headed down to the laboratory at that time, to check up on the workers there & log some progress reports. the project they were working on at the time was dubbed Experiment Emotion: the main point of the studies conducted was to possibly find a way to harbour all negative emotions, Hatred being one of the main ones they captured. the being was manifested into a physical thing, & kept in a containment unit. the scientists had advised builderman not to enter the containment facility, yet he did anyway, all because he claimed that he could “tame” the literal concentration of Hatred. it didn’t go well. the thing was a parasite, needing a host to latch onto & to manifest its Hatred of the world into. builderman became that host that very day, when he entered the containment unit, crouched down in front of the red substance & reached out a hand, attempting to be friendly to the creature. it lashed out at builderman; in no time seeping well into his skin, manifesting itself deep into his brain & nerves. builderman didn’t sense anything at first; he brushed it off as a simple dissolving matter, & no more work was done on Experiment Emotion since then. but after a few good days had passed, the changes started to show. how builderman was more curt, more sharp-tongued, much more abrasive than he’d ever been. his wife, jan, got the worst end of the stick; builderman didn’t seem to love her at all anymore, a statement which he himself actually yelled at her. jan had always been of the quiet sort, unable to stand any conflict or standoff. Hatred knew this, & it took well advantage of jan’s weakness.
currently, it was day. the sky seemed more red than usual, as if Hatred itself had seeped up into the sky & dyed it crimson. jan was out in the courtyard all by herself, placidly talking to some of her coworkers from the office, discussing business, & maybe builderman’s new situation. she seemed the most concerned out of all of—
CRASH.
builderman had heard it all. every word about himself, every word spoken by jan. he’d burst out into the courtyard the moment he’d heard his name, & Hatred wouldn’t stand for backtalk. spines flew out of builderman’s back—large, crimson appendages that tore up the ground as they landed. these appendages flew themselves at the coworkers around jan, impaling a good few whilst the rest managed to flee unscathed. it only left jan standing—precisely whom Hatred wanted alone. another spine flew at jan—not impaling her directly, yet instead sending her flying backwards into the concrete base of the ROBLOX hq behind her. builderman’s eyes didn’t even flicker with remorse; his neck simply bent unnaturally to the side as he hissed,
“dizzy..?”
