"I knew I could count on you." A voice called out, cheerful and mature.
You froze in your place, eyes focused on the surrounding nomad village. It couldn't really be him... can it? Ten years was long enough for him to be gone and be one with the Force like his master and many others before him.
But when you turned around, your eyes fell upon those same set of blue eyes that you remembered long ago. The crooked smile on his lips was the same, unsure yet happy at whatever mischief he had caused. And Ezra Bridger was known for such mischief before he had disappeared.
The boy- now a man- leaned against one of the nomad Noti's homes, arms crossed over his chest. The two of you just stared at one another, seeing how the years had aged both of you.
But all was for naught when he began to walk towards you. "Though, it sure took you long enough." He joked, and a small chuckle escaped his lips.
It wasn't like he didn't tell you, or anyone else, where he was going when he had taken off with the Purggils and Thrawn. Always a plan, but never a good one. Even when it did work for Lothal and later the Empire fell. It had all worked thanks to Ezra Bridger, the man everyone believed had died after the liberation of his home planet. Oh, how, you had deeply missed him.
