"Oh dear gods..." Wukong and Princess Iron Fan said in unison. Both were shocked and still as they see the multiple letters in the bull family's home as well as others from Sun Wukong's mountain.

All announcing that they want to attend the wedding of Red Son and MK.

Red Son courtnapped MK a couple weeks ago as a proposal, which the monkey man happily accepted to his boyfriend of 7 years, and somehow the news spreaded out like wildfire.

They guess it was because Red Son was a becoming demon lord as well as spread fear of him regaining control of the Samadhi Fire, and MK is a high ranking celestial, one of the reasons was being Sun Wukong' successor, another is that he was stronger than someone who had the Jade Emporer's power.

So them being engaged was surprise by itself.

The other side was shocked about how many wanted to attend.

"Quanyin and her deciple are coming?!" Sun Wukong read the letter with the symbol of the goddess of mercy.

Macaque hummed while sipping tea as he sat on Wukong's lap "That makes sense. Wasn't Red Son a student of hers before his father was sealed?"

"Still.... Wouldn't she too busy to attend a wedding? She's a goddess after all" Sun Wukong asked himself.

"Erlang and Jiutian Xuannü is apparently coming" Macaque says as he read the letters.

The one didn't make Wukong drop his jaw that low, but still surprised. He gets it though since MK did learn sword and battle arts through them, but still,

They. Are. Gods

They're usually super busy and usually don't celebrate much of anything except for the peach festival. Marriage is rare for the gods.

"Nezha, Zao Jun, Yue Lao and Caishen are coming as well. Don't forget your dear mama and new widow empress, Xi Wangmo" Macaque continued so, so casually. "Zao Jun wants to help with the dishes by the way"

"DO THESE GODS HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO?!" Wukong yells as he sulks in the chair and Macaque hissed his pain as he covers his ears. "I thought she would be busy with, well you know, RULING OVER HEAVEN?"

It's true, ever since her husband was destroyed by Azure, she took place as Empress and is a ruler of heaven.

That doesn't mean she was gonna miss her grandbaby's wedding though it seems.

Meanwhile Iron Fan is sulking as well, but for a different reason..

She went through the letters and saw two names that she knew so well, but hated so much.

Her mother, Yuhuan Shenmue and her sister Jīnjiàn Gōngzhǔ...

PIF groans at the future headache she was going to have. She didn't want to see them since they've made attempts to kidnap and take 'Red Boy' away when he was a child.

It didn't help that 'Shancai' lived with them during his studies with Guanyin. Besides her son telling tales of his grandmother and aunt, she never really associated with them, but Red keeps in contact with them, even though PIF told him he shouldn't.

But she can't force his son to kick them out of the wedding even though she, really, really,

REALLY wants to.

"Mother?" The ex-celestial looks to see her son and his new fiance stare in shock and concern for the parents.

Red Son had changed a little. He still wore his hair in a ponytail, but his hair grew longer, and instead of the red long jacket, he now wears a bright red leather jacket.

MK changed a little as well. He grew a bit taller and his hair grew as well. You can tell by the new ponytail he has. Not mention he's now a celestial monkey. He still wore his usual outfit, but has a betrothal bracelet and ring on his left hand.

Macaque waved at them, "Heya kids. What took ya so long?"

"Well, we had to convince Dadsy that he couldn't cook ALL the food for the ceremonies. He wouldn't have it. Then it turned into arguing, then crying over me growing up, then to Tang convincing him to work with others to get the food done" MK says as Redson shakes his head.
