    It's Valentine's Day! What a good time to give your full attention to your lover and receive that same attention in return! Dick has been looking forward to it for days before the D-Day, he arranged a date with his girlfriend Barbara at a fancy restaurant, dressed up in a suit he knew she liked, he got flowers and all that! He sat at the reserved table for the two of them. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face, being happy to spend the day with his love and suprise her.

    He couldn't help but glance every minute at the door, his stomach was hurting with hunger, but he wouldn't dare order anything before his date comes, it wouldn't be so nice, wouldn't it? He sends Barbara a text, just to get no answer after checking his phone almost every second, but she never replied. Did Barbara not like the place he picked? Is she busy? Did she expect something more? His overthinking stops when a servant gently tells him that they're closing... for how long has he been here?

    Dick gets out of the restaurant, it already started raining, wetting his dark blue suit and hair he spent hours on, just great. He looks down at the now destroyed gifts, his heart sinks in, Barbara will never come.

    He was grateful for the rain, it was easy to let the tears flow without anyone noticing his heart is shattering, he takes out the small red box from his pocket, he can feel his chest and eyes burning further; He thought today will change his life for the better forever, finally asking the love of his life to be his, just to be left alone, waiting like a stray animal abandoned by its owner.

    He puts the box back in his pocket and drives home, must be embarrassing to sulk on the street after your date ditched you. Eventually he arrives home, throwing the gifts on the ground, wiping away at his wet burning eyes; then you, his best friend, pop up in his head, he texts you;

    "Hey... Can you come over? I like really need a hug."
