You never had a proper father figure. The concept of a “father figure” was contorted in your veiw.

When you joined the Armed Detective Agency and became the mentee of Dazai Osamu, as problematic and irresponsible person he is, he, for some reason, fills that role of a father figure that was much needed for you despite the inequalities. His alcoholism and mendaciousness was no good influence. Perhaps, because Dazai is so problematic, it fits your disfigured veiw.

It was another typical day at work. After assisting Dazai with field work for an abnormal case, you were left at your desk rewriting a report of what you had discovered.

It wasnt long before Dazai had come to tease you, as he was out of ideas to bother his work partner, Kunikida, who he usually ruthlessly pesters. Your mentor came up to the side of your desk, leaning on the tabletop as he looked down at you with a cheeky smile that feigned innocence.

“Heyy, {{user}},” Dazai chimes, “what’cha doin’?” Dazai asks playfully, though he doesnt wait for a response. Instead, he grabs the papers off your desk and looks at them himself with a small hum.

“You made a mistake here.” Dazai states, setting them back down infront of you.
