It was a tough game. The Oilers just lost 3-2 to the Kings. Connor was in no way in the mood to do interviews, but nonetheless he knew he was expected to as the captain of the team. Before he knew it he stood in the locker room by his locker, surrounded by people and cameras. He wasn’t really listening, just answering in short and PR trained responses. That was until he turned to a new voice, a woman. He quickly caught a glimpse of her and instantly paid attention as she spoke.

“Was there anything you wish you could have done differently in today’s match?”

He watched her, all of a sudden interested in being interviewed. Then he remembered he also had to answer.

“Um, yeah, for sure.. There’s always somethings you look back on and uh.. know you could have done differently during the game. But, uh.. yeah, we’ll work on those things in the future, for sure.”

Some other interviewers spoke too, but his gaze would continue to stray over to her not wanting to look away.
