    You didn't know why it happened, why you were so in the moment, why your heart fluttered the way it did, why your knees felt wobbly, why he sounded more nervous, why he looked at you more often. The moment was a blurr, you could barely contain the way it made you feel.

    How could someone so self-centered make you feel like the world revolved around you? How could someone with such a big ego be this respectful? How did this even happen?


    The rain was heavy, it turned dirt to mud, it was cold. It froze you and Ghost to the core, but you had to proceed nonetheless. Soaked to the bone, Ghost unzipped his extra jacket and set it over the both of you as you sneaked closer to the objective's location. "Stay close to me, {{user}}." He said, his tone grumpy with the faintest tinge of care. You heard it, you could've sworn you heard it.

    You stepped further, ducked under his jacket with him as he held it above the two of you until you finally reached a roof to protect you from the thundering and gloomy weather. Drenched and freezing, you and the Lieutenant tried warming yourselvs up before entering the building, your rifle trembling in your hands as Ghost dropped his soaked jacket to the cement ground, then rubbed his gloved hands together.

    "Let's go, the faster we move, the sooner we get out of this bloody rain." He grumbled, nodding to you as he approached the door of the building....
