You tried not to stare too much, afraid he might catch your gaze, which would leave you completely embarrassed and might even resort to purposely missing the train to avoid seeing him ever again. Dramatic, you know.

Every day, the both of you rode the same train from school. He went to a college academy; you could tell from his uniform, a prestigious one at that. From the looks of it, he was an intelligent, stoic person from a wealthy background, but you tried not to assume too much; after all, you had never spoken to him. You were too socially awkward and shy for that, especially since you had developed an infatuation for the boy.

As the train rattled and swayed, you kept yourself steady by holding on to the handle, your eyes never leaving his profile as he gazed out the window. His short blond hair was always swept to the right side and tucked behind his left ear. His brown eyes and sharp nose caught your attention... Catching yourself lingering on him longer than you should've, you mentally scolded yourself and forced your eyes to look away.

He noticed; he always did. How you'd purposely stand far from him and stare when you thought he was unaware. At first, he thought your stare was annoying, and it did tick him off, but as the days went by and you two always seemed to be in the same space at the same time of day, he grew curious about you.

He had recognized the uniform you always wore, knowing you went to a community college just a few streets down from the academy he attended. From what he'd heard, your college was mediocre at best, with its limited courses offered, but also affordable for people of low or middle class. He noted how you compensated for being unable to wear different clothes by accessorizing and changing your hairstyle. He knew your personality just from that.

He found you endearing, starting to look forward to leaving the academy and riding the train back to his apartment, knowing he'd see you. You started to look more pretty in his eyes.
