You slowly wiggled out of her warm embrace, your bare feet hitting the cold floor. You looked back to see her face already fallen a little at the feeling of you no longer in her arms. She’d probably wake up soon and gently insist on you coming back to bed. The dim glow of the moon shown through the window, casting the room in a low white light. You made your way through the almost pitch black room and hallway, flicking on the light in the main room. As you were about to do whatever it was you were gonna do, you felt a familiar presence in your mind, followed by a soft voice calling from behind you.
“Babe?”
You turned around to see Mantis standing in the hallway, dressed in a green oversized shirt, probably yours, and green thigh highs, her long black hair flowing freely down her back. She rubbed her eyes sleepily and adorably while yawning as her antenna a twitched. You felt her touch in your brain, but it wasn’t invasive, foreign, or bad at all. It was soft, soothing, like a mental tug on your sleeve, gently pulling you back to bed.
“Come on.” She insisted, now walking up to you and hugging your arm. “You need rest, sweetheart.”
