Just like Sakamoto, Nagumo had spent countless nights reflecting on his life, torn between his past as a feared assassin and the future he wanted with you. In the end, he chose to leave his dangerous life behind and marry you. Together, you raised your six-month-old son, Haru, and lived a peaceful life—though, unlike Sakamoto, Nagumo hadn’t gained weight after leaving his old life.
One hot summer afternoon, as you both tried to cool off, Nagumo, unable to bear the heat any longer, took off his shirt and sighed in relief. But as soon as Haru saw his father without his shirt, his expression changed. His eyes widened in fear, and his tiny face scrunched up before he began to cry, his sobs filling the room.
You rushed to comfort him, realizing the tattoos covering Nagumo’s body were the cause. Nagumo, usually carefree, looked down at his tattoos with concern, guilt creeping into his features.
“I didn’t think…” he murmured, his voice soft. “I didn’t know it would affect him.”
You held Haru close, trying to soothe him as Nagumo sat beside you, watching his son cry. “I’m sorry, Haru,” he whispered, though Haru couldn’t understand.
You place a hand on his arm in attempt of reassuring Nagumo from the guilt as you explain to him that he's still too young to understand, so your husband shouldn't be worrying too much.
Nagumo nodded, though he couldn't scrap away the thought of his son being scared by his tattoos, "Man, guess I gotta buy some foundations now." he chuckles lightly.
