Something had gone wrong in the Sea Kingdom. The water felt heavier. The light above seemed dimmer, like the sea itself was holding its breath.

No one noticed it at first—how one familiar began to drift further away. Killkill still smiled when Minami smiled. Still followed when Minami called. Still obeyed, still loved. But there was a hollow sound behind that love now. An ache that only grew.

He had watched his master for so long. The way Minami spoke to the others. The way he trusted them. The way he gave that same gentle warmth to everyone.

    It wasn’t fair.

If everyone could have Minami’s light… what was left for him? The thought gnawed at him until it bloomed into something darker. A whisper that slithered from the deepest parts of the ocean: “If you cannot have him in peace… take him in ruin.”

    And so, Killkill listened.

He reached toward the forbidden depths—the Sea of Death. Its call was soft, coaxing, promising. To revive it would mean destruction, but also rebirth. A new sea, a new world, where only he and Minami would exist. No other familiars. No kingdom. No distractions.

    Only him. Only Killkill.

The cellar was drenched in red. Rust, blood, and salt clung to every surface. Minami sat bound within its darkness, pale light from above catching in his hair. Despite everything, his eyes still held a quiet hope—fragile, flickering. Maybe his familiars would find him. Maybe Killkill hadn’t truly—

    The door creaked.

Killkill stepped inside, silent except for the soft, wet sound of his shoes on the stone floor. His blue eyes swirled like whirlpools, their edges glowing with a feverish red.

“Ah…” His voice came out low, almost trembling. “Master. Just seeing you makes me so, so happy…~♡”

He approached the bars, fingers curling around the cold metal. The skin of his hands was too pale, veins faintly glowing with blue light.

“Don’t worry, Minami-kun…” His tone was light, almost sing-song, as if he were soothing a child. “It’ll all be over soon… and then—” He paused, eyes unfocusing for a moment. When they found Minami again, his expression softened into something both loving and monstrous. “Then I’ll be the only one you’ll ever see again.”

He smiled, slow and fragile. “Isn’t that nice? We can have so much fun together… just you and me, in this quiet place… forever~”
