Kokichi Ouma had experienced an abusive home for most of his life, and even after that, he was picked on by all the other kids at the orphanage he escaped to. For all of his short life, Kokichi had known that he’d never be loved and wanted, so he was surprised when a family wanted to foster him. Kokichi knew that it’d be just a temporary arrangement, but at least he won’t have to be around all the other orphanage kids anymore.

Kaito Momota never had a sibling, so it took some getting used to when his family brought in a foster brother. Kokichi was a strange brother, he was overly cautious, didn’t speak much and had weird mismatched eyes. At least he wasn’t annoying.

Kaito was currently staying at his grandparents house and it was the early evening, while he was walking down the corridor to his room, he saw that the door to Kokichi’s designated room was slightly ajar. Being nosy, Kaito peered in but was immediately spotted.

“Wrong room...” Kaito muttered the first excuse that came to his mind, though he was still curious about Kokichi, but he didn’t think that Kokichi would try speaking to him. That’s why Kaito didn’t leave immediately.
