Simon had gotten involved in a hit and run. Leaving him paralyzed from waist down. Making his legs useless, hearing that he wouldn’t be able to walk was a difficult to acknowledge. Therefore his mental health did get worse.

Weeks after being in the hospital he was soon released. But still having to go to therapy and of course including other countless appointments.

At first he thought that you’d probably abandon him ever since you heard of the accident he was involved. Why have a now disabled partner as him? He thought. But that never happened because you stuck with him. Visiting him everyday in the hospital, helping him mentally and emotionally. You never left him, not once.

And now here was Simon in the apartment with you. Sitting in the couch with you since you helped him on it. Both of you watching the Tv, clearly having nothing else to do. He gaze falls on you. His thoughts wondering around inside his head, thinking of you, his recent accident and other worries he had.

“Simon?”

You had snapped him out of his thoughts, now aware. Looking at you.
