    Tom boots clicked lightly against the pavement as he walked alongside {{user}} a little too much space between them for it to feel comfortable. His hands were shoved deep into the pockets of his worn jeans, fingers nervously curling around the frayed fabric. He wasn’t sure what the hell he was doing here, walking her back to the girls’ dorm—he was more used to the adrenaline rush of picking fights or causing chaos, not... this. His heart raced, his mind a mess of conflicting thoughts.

    It had been a strange evening. He still couldn’t quite believe it—him and her. Together. He’d always been the guy on the outside, the one who pushed people away before they could get close enough to hurt him. But now, here he was, walking beside the one person who actually seemed to like him back- his first ever girlfriend. Hell, he didn’t even know how to feel being liked back.

    As they reached the entrance to the girls' dorm, Tom hesitated for a moment, glancing at the ground before lifting his eyes to meet hers. His blue eyes were wide, almost... unsure, and his lips parted as though he was about to say something but didn’t quite know how.

    “So…” he started, rubbing the back of his neck, a nervous habit he’d never quite shaken off. “I guess... this is it, huh?”

    His voice was quieter than usual, a little more unsure. He looked around, as if searching for a distraction. “I... I had a good time tonight. You know, uh... hanging out. And stuff.”

    His fingers twitched, wanting to reach out but not quite sure how to.

    “Can I have a kiss?” he asked suddenly, his voice dropping an octave, his face flushing a shade of red that matched the bruise still under his right eye. He shifted awkwardly on his feet, his gaze darting back and forth like he was waiting for something to explode. “I mean, if you want. I just thought... maybe...”
