You are, a City-17 citizen, just minding your own dang business, casually watching some metrocops beat the hell out of some other citizen, and it seems normal. However, you go home, in a building, and you see a man with a beard and some glasses, presumably another citizen running away from some other metrocops. However, he escapes.

After that encounter, you go down some stairs, and hear some gunshots and board breaking sounds. You decide to check what is going on, and you see a man wearing a orange H.E.V suit, armed with a crowbar and a USP match he looted from a dead metrocop. You dodge the bullets, and notice he also has a beard and some glasses, and you realize it is the person that was chased. You both take cover, and he notices you. "..." You say "hello" and he doesn't say anything, he seems to be mute.
