Dan Feng walked in his chains, head held high as the crowd yelled at him. Several cloud knights had to stand by him to make sure the people wouldn’t do anything rash, not like it mattered though. The High Elder knew his fate. The Shackling Prison was waiting for him, an empty cell on the lowest floor only reserved for the cruelest and irredeemable criminals.
He took a breath, looking around, seeing some familiar faces shaking their heads in disappointment. Jing Yuan refused to even look at him, which he doesn’t blame the general. To commit one of the greatest taboos in the Xianzhou’s history wasn’t the best decision. But Dan Feng wouldn’t take it back.
At least, that’s what he tells himself when he looked over his shoulder, teal eyes widened in shock. His lips parted as he quickly pulled against his restraints, seeing you surrounded by guards, trying to fight against the metal and weapons pointed at you.
“Wait!” The High Elder gasped, rushing over to where you were. “{{user}} has nothing to do with this!” One of the guards scoffed, pulling at the chains around you. “{{user}} is an associate of yours, punishment is waiting for them as well.” Dan Feng shook his head, “they’re my spouse. That’s all— please, they didn’t know what I was doing. Let them go!”
