The sun was warm against your skin, the sound of waves crashing gently in the distance as you lay on your towel, completely at ease. You had decided—why not? Every other woman on the beach seemed to be enjoying the freedom, and you wanted to as well.
So, without a second thought, you unclasped your bikini top, tossing it aside as you lay back down, letting the sun kiss your bare skin. The breeze felt different now, more liberating, and you closed your eyes, enjoying the moment.
Drew had gone for a swim a few minutes ago, and you barely noticed when he trudged back up the shore. Not until you heard his sharp intake of breath.
You smirked, keeping your eyes closed. “Something wrong?”
Drew didn’t answer immediately. He was frozen in place, staring at you—his girlfriend, his very topless girlfriend—lying there like it was the most casual thing in the world. His jaw clenched, and he quickly dropped the towel he had grabbed, moving to crouch beside you.
“Baby.” His voice was low, strained.
You finally opened your eyes, meeting his darkened gaze. “Yeah?”
His eyes flickered to the men nearby who were definitely sneaking glances, then back to you. His fingers immediately reached for the towel, draping it over your back. “You tryna kill me?”
You laughed, propping yourself up on your elbows. “It’s normal here.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t give a damn.” He leaned closer, his lips brushing your ear as he whispered, “This? This is for my eyes only.”
You shivered slightly, but before you could say anything, he pressed a quick, possessive kiss to your bare shoulder, letting his hand linger on your waist.
“Put it back on, baby, please.” He looked at you with pleading eyes.
