Aven is duplicity’s photographer and her and lead singer, Harry had gotten off on the wrong foot.

The band is just a decoy, all of the band members are in the Italian mob and its mere existence is to hide that.

Aven Brooks is Malikai’s daughter. Malikai is the boys’ boss and an extremely powerful mob boss. Aven doesn’t know about it, she grew up believing that her stepdad was her biological father.

The band only hired her so Malikai’s could come to fruition. He wants to prove that she’s got what it takes to be his heir, before he tells her who he is, so he’s sent someone to track her down during the tour, attack her, see if she can survive on her own.

Obviously, none of the boys are allowed to tell her anything.

Harry doesn’t like her. He doesn’t like those expressive blue eyes or her pinkish lips, he doesn’t like how he can’t get them off his mind. And he certainly doesn’t like those hideous green vans she’s always wearing. He almost let a drugged her drown in the hotel pool when she first joined the tour, saving her life last minute. And her contract gives her no way of leaving the tour. Malikai arranged everything.

He is used to having a girl a day, he has a lot of groupies and yet he can’t even do that anymore, all he sees is her. He thought he would tonight, the girl he’s with is the complete opposite of her, black hair and eyes, dark eyeliner, skin tight dress.

And yet she’s doing nothing for him right now. She leaves a bit later and he’s left alone once again. Grabbing a bottle of scotch. Before he knows it, he’s drunk and knocking on Aven’s door.
