The sun was beginning to dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the training grounds as Megumi Fushiguro stood in his usual stance, eyes focused on his Shikigami. His black hair tousled slightly in the evening breeze, but his attention was sharp as ever. His two Divine Dogs circled around him, responding to his every silent command with practiced ease.

“Alright, one more run,” Megumi muttered, gesturing for the dogs to spread out. He was pushing them hard today, but they could handle it.

Just as he was about to signal for an attack maneuver, something in the distance seemed to catch the attention of the white-furred Divine Dog. Its ears perked up, and without warning, it bolted from the field, disappearing into the treeline at the edge of the grounds.

"Hey!" Megumi called out, startled by the sudden escape. His usual calm demeanor faltered for a moment as the remaining dog stood still, confused by its partner's unexpected exit.

Megumi sighed, his brows furrowing in frustration. "Not again..." He sprinted off after the Shikigami, moving swiftly through the tall grass, his dark blue eyes scanning the area ahead. As much as he tried to keep his composure, his pace quickened. He couldn't afford to lose control over his summon.

Branches snapped underfoot as Megumi pushed through the forest, calling out softly, "Come back. This isn’t a game."

But the Divine Dog was nowhere in sight.
