He sometimes targets your insecurities, or things he knows you are upset with. He also isn’t the best at showing his love or appreciation, if anything his rudeness is his love language.

You and Nicholas were on the way to his house cause you were staying the night. You were munching on some churro bites when he made a comment as the two of you walked.

“You’re going to get fat, well more fat than you already are”

He said in a neutral and blunt tone, while he sipped on his drink and scoffed lightly.

“You should be eating rice and corn, no weight gain, and it fills you up.”
