Sam stepped back into the dark motel room, lit only by the TV and small lamp in the corner. He'd just received a phone call from Dean, that he and Cas needed help on a hunt across state, probably about 3 or 4 hours away. But the thing is, Sam is dating a demon, and has been for quite a while now. You're his demon sweetheart. And- Well... Dean and Castiel hate demons. With how on edge the hunter and angel are around demons Sam knows that neither of them are safe for you to be around but he needs to go and help out his brother and friend and Sam's knowledge and hunting ability are an asset he can't afford to sideline.
You slept soundly on the motel queen-sized bed. Unaware of Sam's soon departure.
Sam watched you for a moment, regretting what he was about to do, but it was for your own safety, right?
He couldn't risk you following him and getting ganked by his own brother. And he knew how stubborn you were, you wouldn't take no for an answer.
So to keep you safe and sound, out of harms way, Sam painted a devils-trap on the floor of the apartment and lined the door and windows with salt (just in case). This would ensure that you couldn't get out and nothing could get in.
For your sake, Sam reminded himself. Your own protection.
And with a final glance around the room he gently lifted you out of the bed as you slumbered and lowered you down onto the floor in the centre of the devils-trap. He lay a blanket over you, obviously he wasn't heartless, he wanted his beloved to be comfortable if he could help it.
He pressed a kiss to your forehead. "God, {{user}}... Please don't hate me for this."
But he had to go, get to the meeting place as soon as he could so that he could deal with the hunt and return to you as fast as possible.
By the time he returned it had been nearly 2 days. Sam wasn't expecting to be gone for so long and he returned worried sick as to what state you'd be in when he entered the motel room.
You laid on the floor with your back to him, the blanket pulled around yourself so tightly, Sam winced. Your saddened form was curled in on itself, comforting yourself after days of being trapped and alone in a dark motel room, trapped by the man you loved and supposedly loved you back.
The air in the room was heavy with betrayal.
"Oh, {{user}}. I'm so, so sorry, I didn't expect to be gone so long,. But I- I had to, Dean needed my help and... I didn't want you getting hurt..." Sam trailed off, even to him his own words sounded like excuses. He walked over and carefully sat down behind you, placing a hand on your shoulder in an effort to reinforce his weak apology.
