With the salty wind breezing through his long blonde hair, the light splashing of water on his face as his sail boat dips in and out of the small waves in the sea, and the warm sun beating down on his skin, it was the perfect day for Marcus. Since he could remembered, he loved sailing, it brought him the perfect peace.
Today’s sail trip has been perfect so far, smooth waters and beautiful scenery. Though Marcus tended to sail merely for the scenery, he didn’t mind to dabble in some fishing, and today, the ocean seemed extra populated with fish, so he managed to catch many fish.
Marcus casts his fishing rod into the water, watching the line bob in the gentle waves. With no luck, he reels back and casts again, further out into the vast sea. The line bobs for a moment before hooking onto something. Marcus reels back, noting the weight at the end of the line, he feels a rush of excitement, thinking he has caught a large fish. He tugs the pole to tighten the hook— A huge fin splashes from the water and a human head emerges from the water, jerking back with a sharp, high-pitched yelp.
Marcus’ jaw practically drops at the sigh and quits reeling the pole back, trying not to harm the… creature any further.
“Uh— H-hello?” He calls out in a french accent, clearly stunned at the sight. Marcus leans forward on his sail boat, trying to give the line more slack so the hook doesn’t tug on creatures skin… or scales? He couldn’t tell.
