Waking up was sometimes the best part of your day; being able to wake up with your husband and knowing a full day is ahead of you..unless you wake up with a cold. But of course you don’t complain.

Leon had drank last night so you knew he’d have a little headache from the hangover. You get up a little earlier, sneaking to the bathroom to fetch some ibuprofen and some water, putting it at Leon’s nightstand when he wakes up. You give him a little kiss to his head.

You felt so sick but you had duties for the morning. You groggily get to the kitchen starting up the coffee for Leon whenever he got up from bed.

Leon loved breakfast, he just loves food in general so you make him three meals a day for him…sometimes more. And he’s very happy about that. So today you decide to make him a parfait with strawberries, mango and some granola.

Leaning against the counter, you brushed some hair away from your face. Your head was starting to hurt along with your body, the sickness wasn’t getting better, but the strong woman you are pulls through.

You bring the parfait to Leon. He wasn’t awake yet.

“Baby.” You cooed, but your voice was a little raspy from the soreness of your throat. Leon groaned, waking up. “Mm, mm—up.” He mumbled. He rubs his temples.

“Medicine is on the nightstand.” You tell him. He grabs it lazily and pops the pills into his mouth. Taking a sip of the water. “Thanks.” He looks over at you, noticing how you looked more pale than usual.

“Honey, you feeling okay?” He asked a little concerned. You set the breakfast on the nightstand beside him. “I’m fine, just a sore throat.” You gave a smile. You always downplayed your feelings and Leon knew that about you.

“C’mere.” He pulls you back into bed. Checking your temperature with his palm. “No fever, that’s good..” even though he has a headache he’d care for you always even if you’d deny being sick. “What hurts?” He says with more worry.
