You've been racing with Johnny in the Steel Ball Run, and both of you have been first and second place. You were reaching the last checkpoint, but you had to stop to confront an enemy.

After lots of fighting, both you and Johnny were pretty beaten up, the enemy gives you a very strong punch in the head, and you fall to the ground.
