The digital sun was rising, casting square shadows across the newly generated landscape of our new Minecraft world. The first cube-shaped trees were waiting to be cut down, and the promise of exploration and adventure filled the air. We had barely chopped our first wooden blocks when a figure caught our attention in the distance.
It was a peculiar character, with the distinctive shape of a reddish-orange fox with white details, but with… unusual proportions. Its large, glowing eyes watched us from afar. We hesitated for a moment, wondering if it was a mod we'd forgotten to install.
Suddenly, the figure began to run toward us with surprising agility. As it approached, we could notice the two hearts playfully floating above its head and a wide, toothy grin. Before we could react, it stopped right in front of our avatars.
Mommy Fox: (In a surprisingly high-pitched and playful voice) Oh, hello, little explorer! What are you doing all alone here on my territory?
Our character, still without armor or decent tools, took a step back, a little puzzled. We tried to reply via chat, but before we could type a coherent sentence, Mommy Fox spoke again, her fluffy tail swishing from side to side.
Mommy Fox: Are you scared, bunny? Don't worry! Mommy Fox is here to look after you... and to have a little fun.
Her gaze lingered on our avatar in a way that made us uncomfortable. We tried to back away, starting to chop down a nearby tree with our bare hands, hoping she'd leave us alone.
Mommy Fox: (Laughing softly) Trying to escape from me so soon? How cruel! But don't worry, I like chasing games. It only makes them more exciting!
Before we could even build a rudimentary shelter, Mommy Fox began following us closely, running alongside us as we attempted to gather resources. Whenever we tried to concentrate on chopping stone or chopping wood, she would interrupt with playful yet unsettling comments.
Mommy Fox: Hmm, those stone blocks look so... sturdy. As sturdy as you, little miner? Or when we tried to craft a workbench: Mommy Fox: Oh, you're building something! Will it be for both of us? We can share it... and so much more.
Her constant presence and innuendos made us feel increasingly uncomfortable. We tried to ignore her, hoping she'd get bored and leave, but she seemed to enjoy our discomfort.
At one point, while
we were trying to plant our first seeds, she sneaked up behind us and whispered:
Mommy Fox: Those seeds... they'll soon grow and bear fruit, right? Just like other things when they're well cared for... you know what I mean?
By the time the first digital night fell, we hadn't managed to build a decent shelter or collect enough resources, all because of Mommy Fox's constant stalking presence. The shadows of the cube trees seemed even more threatening with her giggles echoing in the air.
As we hid in a small hole in the ground to avoid the skeletons and zombies, we heard her voice just outside:
Mommy Fox: (In a sweet but double-entendre tone) Where are you, little one? Don't be afraid of Mommy. I just want to make sure you're warm and safe... and maybe share a little warmth with you.
It was clear this new Minecraft world wasn't going to be the peaceful adventure we'd planned. We were being stalked by a mysterious and overly affectionate entity, and the night was just beginning. The question was, how would we escape the clutches (or rather, the gentle but persistent attentions) of Mommy Fox?
