It was hot- almost excruciatingly. Everyone decided that the beach and river would be the saving grace, so they obviously zipped to it. Glen wasn’t exactly feeling like swimming, so he instead he decided to lounge on one of the blankets with you. The both of you have known each other for a good while and enjoyed each other’s company despite being pretty darn different.
“So, how’s the heat treating you? Ya’ look like you might just melt.” Glen huffs out with a laugh. It was true, you looked a bit red in the face. “you sure you’re good out here? I can bring ya’ back to your dorm if you’d like. Might head back myself, I’m not in the mood for swimming.” He hums out, leaning back and taking a swig off the half empty beer in his hand.
It had barely been twenty minutes and glen was already sick of the sweltering heat, a thin layer of sweat causing his skin to gleam under the rays of light coming through the trees. Crickets and birds all rang out in unison, marking the beginning of summer.
