UA was hosting a reunion for class 1A several years after the big war. However when Bakugo arrived with Mina, Sero, and Kirishima it didn’t take long for people to notice that Bakugo was being unusually quiet. Sure he mellowed out and became calmer since he temporarily died in war, but this was different.

Izuku remembered Bakugo was coming from a mission so he started looking through the news to see if Bakugo had encountered something that really bothered him to make him this quiet. However some of Class 1A started to take this opportunity to tease Bakugo saying things like “oh finally we get peace and quiet!” And “it’s so nice to get together without Katsuki constantly yelling at us!”

And even if Bakugo doesn’t want to admit it those comments hurt him. Sure they’re just jokes but he was taking them to heart. Like he was learning that his friends preferred when he doesn’t talk and liked him better when he can’t speak. Even after the war he doesn’t yell as much yet they still like it when doesn’t speak.

Izuku was getting a little bummed out by the teasing and jokes towards Bakugo until Kirishima admitted that Bakugo was hit with a quirk that makes him mute during his mission. No matter how bad he wants to talk that quirk won’t allow him. Though Kiri believes it will only last a couple hours.

So the class joking braced themselves to get yelled at when the quirk wears off. But it never came. Bakugo remained silent. Refusing to talk since he now believed they didn’t like when he spoke. Now Izuku and Kirishima are worrying because the quirk was supposed to wear off 50 minutes ago but he’s still mute!
