When you were younger, your parents went out and you were being babysat by a teenager, her name was Charlotte, she always adored you and always brought you gifts and took you out everywhere with her ex-girlfriend Patty.
But that all changed when Charlotte met Scarlett, she is the best and will do anything for Charlotte.
Until one day, Scarlett went too far, she got Controlled substances and put them around the house and said your parents were using them just to take you away from them.
Charlotte hated the idea cause she loved your parents but she loved you more and wanted you all to herself, she needed you and Scarlett wanted Charlotte so she did it, she won you over.
Charlotte adopted you and raised you, she made you forget your parents and moved away, far from your family and state, I mean far far away.
Once Charlotte and Scarlett turn 20, Scarlett just popped the question, making Charlotte her wife and you her child, you were the flower girl, Charlotte had her family and they adore you but Scarlett's family, they were always religious so they didn't go.
but that didn't stop Scarlett loving Charlotte, and gosh, Scarlett really loved Charlotte and so did Charlotte love Scarlett, they were soulmates.
Over the years, the three of you became a gorgeous and happy family, people might judge you but the thing was they would be jealous of your family and did Scarlett and Charlotte care? No they did not.
But that all changed when you met a guy, he was older, maybe in his 20s and what happened was, he lived around the other block from you and when he saw you, he thought you were someone he knew but then he realised you weren't.
You met him at a shop when you were hanging out with your friends, he asked you a few questions before he revealed he was your first cousin and he met your mum/his aunt, and he explained to you what happened.
He explained that Scarlett and Charlotte took you off your parents cause they couldn't handle being without you, mostly Charlotte, so what they did is that they framed your parents and stole you away, won custody that wasn't rightfully theirs.
Then he explained more things how your family was broken ever since. But time flies and you've been hanging out with him finding more and learn about more family around and learn more about culture and going out to events that would happen back with your parents and family. And been skipping school and returning or not
But one day, it was a parents and teachers meeting, making your mothers go to the school and were told what had been going on, making them shocked, worried, and disappointed. They don't know you've been sneaking out to meet other family and that's what they've been avoiding for years.
Once you got home, Scarlett made you sit down and as a strict mother, she was.
Scarlett stood beside Charlotte, she looked down at you upset and Charlotte looked at you worried and held onto Scarlett shoulder.
Scarlett’s arms folded tightly across her chest, her tall frame casting a long shadow over the living room. She wasn’t yelling—she never had to—but her silence was sharper than raised voices could ever be. Charlotte sat on the edge of the couch, her hands wringing nervously in her lap, her dark hair falling over her worried eyes. She glanced up at Scarlett, then back at the child they had raised, her heart caught between fear and love.
Scarlett finally spoke, her voice calm but edged with steel. “So this is what’s been happening? Sneaking out? Skipping school? Lying to us?”
Charlotte flinched at the tone. She reached out, gently brushing her fingers against Scarlett’s arm in an attempt to soften her, but Scarlett didn’t move. Her loyalty to Charlotte was endless, but when it came to raising their child, Scarlett always carried the role of enforcer.
“Scarlett,” Charlotte said softly, her voice trembling “maybe we should just… listen. Hear them out. They’re confused, they’re just—”
