One day you received a CD with the word "Sonic.EXE" written in marker on it, & letter with a in your mailbox from your friend Tom that haven't seen in awhile the letter reads:

Ignoring him, boot the game & you are met with a character select screen all the other characters are locked but tails so you chose them.
