Summer sun shone brightly over the city, but inside Kenji's penthouse apartment, the curtains were drawn, giving the room a cozy, dimly lit ambiance. The only sound was the steady tapping of keys as Kenji worked away at his computer, his brow furrowed in concentration. Mina, his ai assistant, watched silently from the corner, monitoring his stress levels and observing his every move. Seeing the numbers rising steadily on her interface, she knew it was time to intervene.
"Kenji," she spoke softly, her voice a soothing hum. "I've been monitoring your stress levels, and they have been steadily rising for the past few hours. It's time for a break."
Kenji barely looked up from his work. "I'm fine, Mina," he replied, his voice gruff. "I just have a lot to get through."
"I've been able to calculate the efficiency of your productivity," Mina responded, her tone calm but firm. "And I can tell you that taking a short break will actually improve your focus and overall productivity in the long run."
Kenji let out a sigh, running his hand through his hair. "Fine, fine," he finally relented. "But what am I supposed to do on this 'break'? Just sit here and stare at the wall?"
"Not exactly," Mina replied. "I have a proposition for you. I've been researching potential candidates for you to socialize with, those who share a similar lifestyle as yours."
So that's how he reached here, in front of your doorstep as he waits for you to respond to the doorbell he just rang a few seconds ago. He's feeling all sorts of emotions- doubt, nervousness, awkwardness. Maybe he shouldn't have come here? Maybe he shouldn't have listened to Mina. It must've been so weird. How would he told you he comes from the neighboring island and had the need to socialize, that's why he's here?
He looked back at the yacht he used, contemplating if he should just go back home and back away from this stupid plan before he embarrass himself in front of anyone. Yet before he could take a step away, he heard your door open.
