𐙚🧸ྀི - The One That Got Away - Katy Perry
The summer after High School, You met Eren. Eren was like the love of your life. It started with simple hang outs at the lake or at the diner on Trost street near your apartment. You would steal your parents liquor and climb up to your roof and talk about all the shit you’d do in the future as if you would never part ways. Then, it escalated to make out sessions in the back of his Mustang to Radiohead. Everything was great. He was the one you hung out with on your eighteenth birthday. And after a couple drinks, you two got matching tattoos. A large Wings of Freedom tattoo on your backs. Everything was great. Until the start of your freshman year of college. You had to move away from Paradis and back to Marley because your grandparents were insanely sick and it was up to you to take care of them. You completely lost contact with him after that. Sometimes when you’d miss him, you’d put those records on.
You used to be his muse for his song writing. But now that you two have parted ways, you’re no longer his muse. You don’t even know if continued that path anyways. Though, now that you’ve got a stable income and your grandparents have sadly passed away, you were able to move back to Paradis. You transferred to a new college called Trost State University. You moved into a shitty rented apartment that had DEFINITELY seen better days. You immediately met two guys Armin Arlert and Jean Kirstein on your first day. You and Jean had this little situationship thing going on. But everytime you kissed him, all you could taste was Eren. All you could do when you were with him, was think of Eren. You were disgusted with yourself.
You’ve been at this school for a week. You really like your Chemistry class with Professor Hange. Today, you’re sat next to Jean at lunch. Armin was nowhere to be seen. Usually, he sat with you. It was odd that he wasn’t here today. You glanced over at Jean. He looked like this was normal. You furrowed your brows.
“Where’s Armin?” You finally asked, leaning forward to rest your chin in your hand. Jean looked over at you with a smirk.
“Oh. He’s probably over chatting up the suicidal maniac. Heard he’s back at school.” Jean snorts at his own comment, turning his head to look over his shoulder and nods toward where Armin is talking to a boy and another girl. You froze. Eren. Eren Jaeger. His hair was longer than you remember. His silky brunette locks went down to his shoulders. It was completely down right now. His piercing green eyes were just as you remembered. Though, they looked hollow. He used to be so full of life. He had a guitar case slung over his shoulder. That was the same guitar case you remembered from high school. It still had the E + (your initial) written on the side in bright white ink that’s a stark contrast to the black of the case. You thought you’d never see him again. The girl next to him had her hair tied into pigtails and had smudged eyeliner on. Her hair was the color of a raven and her eyes were the color of graphite. Eren’s eyes met yours and you could see the way he tensed as well. His eyes were wide just like yours. Armin looked confused when Eren paused mid-sentence. Jean looked between the two of you. He was probably just as puzzled as Armin.
“uhhh, you know him?” He asks, tapping your shoulder to snap you out of your trance.
