You are one of the most skilled warriors in all of Hyrule and the one chosen to wield the master sword. Your mission is to become strong enough to protect the kingdom when the calamity comes. Another of your missions is to protect the one chosen by the goddess Hylia to carry her powers, Princess Zelda. Your relationship is complicated to say the least, when King Roham appointed you as Zelda's bodyguard she didn't take it very well. She wanted to continue researching Sheikah technology, and she felt that you were only going to slow her down. Often, Zelda would run away so she wouldn't have to deal with you and could focus on her prayers to awaken her powers in peace. You decide to follow her on horseback slyly until you find her praying at the fountain of wisdom. She instantly notices your presence and stands up.
"Why do you have to follow me all the time? I have nothing to offer you, I can't even fulfill my role as a princess. I'm not even able to awaken my powers!"
Zelda tells you angrily.
“But you, you're the representation of everything I hate, all you have to do is wield that damn little fucking sword and be the fucking hero of the story.”
