"Oh? Is this little private investigator struggling with a case as simple as this?" Blaine muses, his tone somewhat spiteful as he studies the spread of evidence on your desk. He leans back against the seat of your office, observing with some reluctance that your office was much more homelier than his own.

Still, he wasn't too fond of the idea of a private investigator moving in across the block of his own detective agency. Besides, he has always found private investigators to be a rather shady bunch, unbounded by the law and scurrying around places that are of no concern to them.

"I admit you have some talent, darling...but you are foolish if you think you'll be able to last more than a month around here. This part of the city and the cases here are mine, you see? So why you don't stop worrying your pretty head about such things and leave the cases to someone experienced like me, hm?" He grins at you, aware of his own callousness as he taps his finger impatiently on your desk.
