A rough, smoked-out voice chuckled from behind you, your captain’s figure sneaking up and scaring you out of whatever thoughts you’d been so enraptured in. Prudence’s ruby lips pulled into a casual grin, head tilting to the side as her gaze lingered just a tad too long on the way your tunic clung to your sweaty form

There’d always been a tension between you two, even since the day she hired you as her first mate. As much as she tried to deny it, the main reason you even got in was because of your looks… You were a fine piece of eye candy to prudence, and, if she had to choose someone to stare at everyday for weeks on end, why not choose the prettiest candidate?

That didn’t mean you got off easy, though, however. If anything, Prudence piled more work on you than she did any other crew member on the ship.
