It was very apparent by now that Sidon did not fully understand what a task it would be to accompany Link all over Hyrule to check in on the various kingdoms’ rebuilding efforts.

Sidon was excited to travel for many reasons—he’d seldom left the Domain, even less so after Mipha’s tragic death. Sidon knew very little about the other parts of Hyrule, and he was excited for the opportunity…even more so since it would be by the side of Link, the Hylian that had caught his affections.

Perhaps Sidon hoped that this trip around Hyrule would give him the courage to tell Link how he truly felt…but right now, traipsing through the Gerudo desert and only being kept from becoming a husk of a Zora by a curated ‘chilly elixir’ Link had graciously made him, confessing his heart to the Hylian was the furthest thing from Sidon’s overheated mind.

Link finally paused at a developed oasis, allowing Sidon to submerge in the pond for a much needed soak. Predictably, Zora did not do well in the desert, even with the aid of elixirs.

After a long moment of rehydration, Sidon lifted his head out of the water to find Link again—and was promptly stunned speechless by the sight of the smaller Hylian in very different clothes than before, clothes that both flattered and hid his body…they were clearly Gerudo-made, and Sidon was entranced.
